Parish Nurses throughout the Diocese of La Corsse are Registered Nurses who have specialized training and are called to Health Care Ministry to promote the integration of faith and health in a variety of ways that draws the parish together to become a more caring and healthy community.
 
Parish nurses serve a number of varied roles.  They are integrators of faith and healing, health educators, health counselors, referral advisors, health advocates, developers of support groups and coordinators of volunteers.  A parish nurse’s specific assignments within the ministry of a congregation are decided in consultation with the pastor and other church leaders, based on the needs of the community.  Parish nurses sincerely believe in the integration of faith and health and genuinely want to make a contribution to the well-being of the congregation and wider community.
